Rick began the new millennium working for a startup company - maintaining their web site, designing ad copy, producing business reports and training Account Executives & external clients on the company web site, all while running the external help desk.
That job evolved as the company grew - web site responsibilities were transferred to the IT department and copy design to the marketing department. Rick transitioned to Account Executive, where he successfully executed the position by focusing on his technical training abilities.
Motivated to enhance his technical skillset while complimenting his Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Rick enrolled at Palomar College - pursuing concurrent degrees and/or certificates in the fields of Computer Science, Graphic Communications, and Digital Broadcast Arts. He obtained Associate degrees in Information Technology, Web Multimedia, New Media/Compositing, and Digital Imaging in December 2014, and has also earned certificates in Digital Arts, Digital Media, and Web Motion Graphics. He was recognized at the 2013 San Diego Fair with a Digital Photography / Photoshop "Best in Class" award, has a 4.0 average within all DBA & Graphic Communications classes, and is a lifetime member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Inspired by his ehanced skill set and experiences in adult learning, Rick graduated with a Masters Degree in Instructional Design & Technology from Cal State Fullerton in May of 2017.
